    Question #5
The one thing that differs and make smith and Julia different is their philosophies. Smith knows that the party is changing the world but on the other hand ALL Juilia cares about is sex. “You thought I was a good party member “This shows how they both have different thoughts and portrays the background of the characters and what they think about society.

    Question #1
“ He flattened it out, on was written a large unformed handwriting : I Love You .“ This is big because in 1984 , loe is forbidden , you can have sexual affairs but the whole aspect of falling in love is forbidden. They cant have love for eachother because in the book when in love you must be loyaland for love , one will possibly do anything. When they have sexual affairs they only do it for pleasure. Love does not exist , this portrays the theme/background of how their society is.

#1. What does the note say that was passed to Smith?

The note that was passed to Smith said, "I love you". The note was from Julia. It's crazy that she says that to Smith because love is basically forbidden in their world. Throughout the movie, when they part, she says "I love you", but he doesn't say it back at a point. To me, she's more rebellious because it's like she doesn't care about the law and she's willing to risk it for Smith. She's willing to be with Smith even if there's a chance that they get caught and suddenly vanish.
